Subject: 1980 Aircooled Automatic loses power on hills
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; format=flowed

Just bought a 1980 Westfalia, with an automatic transmission. It has no power on hills..

The manual states it should be able to attain 80km/h in second (or kick down mode) but it only gets to 60km/h and then craps out. Just had a tune up done, with new plugs, points, cap and rotor. Valves were serviced and adjusted.. tranny oil replaced..

Any suggestions? Thanks for any help!!

Bob
