Subject: Re: Fuel Pump Problem '85 GL

Thanks for all the suggestions. I Followed Ken Lewis's advice on building a fuel pressure gauge for under $10. It worked like a charm. Pressure at rail was 95 psi. Pump is fine, fuel pressure regulator is shot. New one ordered, problem solved (this one anyway.) I guess the sound I heard must have been the pressure limiter inside the pump. Thanks again.
