Hi again ...well, after getting a good used set of pistons from a generous
list member I removed my pistons from their rods. I notice that the
piston/gudgeon pin bush in the rod is a 'brass' colour with remnants of
white metal.   Are these bushes originally white metal, i.e. same as rod
bearings or were they a brass colour ?


Is it a pretty simple matter of pushing the old out & renewing with new or
am I going to have to ream the new bush ....etc..etc....is this really a job
for a shop.


No mention in Bentley of a procedure!
