If you have a leaking manual transmission, check first for a blocked vent. A blocked vent can cause pressure to build up and create a leak past a seal. The vent is on the first section of the transmission (where the front engine mount is located). It is on the top and on the drivers side of the tranny. (I have a pic to make it clearer) This seems to collect dirt and can block the vent. Once blocked the pressure builds and forces the oil out past a seal. If yours is not leaking, I would check the vent to make sure that yours is not blocked to avoid creating a leak.
