Lots of people are installing our kits with the 105hp 1.8L Digifant engines to keep the costs down. If price isn't a major concern a few more dollars will get you a decent 115hp Audi 80 / VW Golf 2.0L. When we do the wiring harnesses for our customers everything is 100% as per factory - we don't invent anything, just make it so it plugs into the Vanagon systems with extremely little fuss. On the later engines with OBD (On Board Diagnostics) the VW dealers 1551/1552 computer functions 100% with these engines installed. If you have any questions on our I4 kits please let me know, I will me more than happy to assist.

With my 1985 Westy wasserboxer, it's engine's life is nearing its time. The question is what to do next? I want something reliable, of course reasonably priced, that Lou down the block can work on. (no subaru) Any opinions or suggestions appreciated! Love the list!
