For what it's worth, I am replacing the radiator, all hoses, plastic pieces, sensors, exp. tank and water pump. I've already blown two coolant hoses and have experienced your symptoms for awhile now. I'm hoping that it's just a whole lot of cooling system neglect from the previous owner. My engine only has about 29K on it, so I'm thinking it's not a head gasket leak.
