Even on my 86 Jetta which used to be an auto trans..the extra wiring to the neautral safety swx made it have an int no crank problem...I just ran the wire direct from the ign swx to the starter..works great..you , however still have to have the neutral safety swx there...the shop or dealer fix is to add a relay near the starter..the voltage is enough to activate the relay but not the starter...so the relay is what finally makes the starter go...Good Luck On Sun, 28 Jan 2001 06:34:33 -0500 Tarheel <puzerewski@EMAIL.MSN.COM> writes: > I am having ignition problems with my 86 cabrio.
