Hi gang, I'm hoping someone has a parts van that they'd be willing to take a small body clip out of for me. A would-be thief tried to open my Westy with a pry bar and trashed the sheetmetal around the lock in the rear hatch. Is there anyone out there who could cut a (say 5") square of the body metal around the lock hole so I can weld this piece into my van. I would, of course, be willing to pay for this favour. I'm fixing the rust and dents on my Westy in a night-school autobody class (a page out of Marshall Ruskin's book) and it sure would make things easier if I had an original piece of metal for this spot ---- rather than trying to fabricate one with my non-existant skills in this area. My van is an 84 ---- which leads me to another question. Fot what years of vanagons would this piece be interchangeable??? TIA Cheers, Doug Alcock '84 Westy Toronto, Canada |
