The gentleman Jorst, certainly makes quite an argument against one of
the most successful designs ever manufactured. Much of it is smoke and
mirrors, not sound engineering. His rant against both torsion bar
suspension and VW powerplant construction is *not* borne out by
history. Some of my favorite cars (not VW) have used torsion bar
suspension. And the VW powerplant is an exceedingly elegant design for
its purpose.

Well worth the read! Though his comments *do* seem like a disgruntled ex-employee.
