Why not look for simple things first? What weight oil are you using? The
flickering started after the last oil change; did you do anything different
then?
You might want to heed Stuart MacMillan's advice and install an oil pressure
gauge. In your case it will eliminate the guessing.  With only the idiot
light you are subjecting yourself to possibly needless worry.

Sounds like the slight rise in idle speed raised the pressure above the
signal limit. The owner's manual says some low idle flickering is normal,
even when new, especially after an extended highway run.
