Last year I got a closeout on a complete, brand new aircooled vanagon westy
air conditioning package, genuine VW.  Included pretty much everything -
interior bits, compressor, condensor, wiring, instructions, even the little
window tag that said "air conditioned" that the VW dealer was supposed to
put on the van in the lot when the job was done. About $2500 worth of stuff
at 1982 prices.  Brand new dealer overstock, sold with a 30 day warranty
against defects.  My price was $895. This sounds like exactly what you need.
It is the entire kit that the dealer would have used to install "factory
air" in an '80-83 Westy.  Last I checked, my supplier had ONE unit left.
