I have had mine in parking ramps that say they are 6'8", but I don't try it unless I don't have any choice. Most of them usually have a sign hanging at the entrance at the minimum height. I drive very slowly, watch my antenna and park in the closest spot I can find.

How about a parking garage with 6'7" clearance? Doesn't sound like that will make it, though I've seen a Country Homes Vanagon in our garage here at work.

The thing to look at is the garage door itself, the older one piece pivoting doors take up about 6" of doorway when they are open. The newer sectional roll-up doors can be adjusted to go above the door opening. I had mine adjusted that way when I had my new door installed. Mine just fits in as long as I remember to close the roof vent. My antenna hits the opening when it is fully extended

So that's 6 feet 10 inches. A standard garage door is 7 or 8 feet?

Guess I should have pointed out in the first place why I needed the height. House hunting. There's gotta be room for my baby :-)
