Ari,

Excuse my ignorance about and lack of familiarity with US campervan conversions. I'm sorry. My confusion stems from the fact that the "California" is just one of the many VW T3 Transporter based campervan models produced by Westfalia (Franz Knobel und Sohn) over the years between late 1979 and 1992. Others are the "Joker", "Joker Sport", "Club Joker" series, "Multivan" and the "California Coach". I understand that these Westfalia model names were not used in USA and that only the name "Westfalia" has been used there. On seeing the name California I thought that perhaps Luke Plaisier's car was a Westfalia "California" model which had found its way to the USA as a personal import.

Regards,

Simon Glen Toowoomba, Australia 19992 VW T3 Transporter Syncro van 1969 VW 411
