this happened to me. Although i didn't actually fix it myself (embarrassing admission)my trusty vw mechanic did in a matter of a few minutes. he explained that there's a clip that can come loose on a cable that controls the heat. the clips located just above the spare, so you need to get underneath, remove the spare and look for it. personally, i recommend a bentley manual, which may have pix. good luck --- Tim New <timnew@PACBELL.NET> wrote: > I'm new to the vanagon world so bare with me.
