There is a rubber O-ring associated with the coolant level sensor in the
recovery tank. This is one sensor that makes the LED in the temp gauge
blink.
The TempII sensor, which is located further down near the water pump, has a
thin brass washer associated with it.
And yes, you need one. Don't forget either one, preferably new. ;-)
