Subject: the vanagon and the corvair part 1
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

strange parallels between the corvair and the vanagon both rear engine designs. corvair introduced in 1959 for the 1960 model year the vanagon introduced in 1979 for the 1980 model year. In 1964 lee Ioccoca helped develope the mustang which made gm come out with the camaro and drop the corvair. lee Ioccoca also introduced the crysler mini vans in 1984 which did a number on our beloved vanagons. ralph nader said the corvair was unsafe but the mustang was also unsafe because of poor fuel tank design. the vanagon was said to be unsafe because driver and front passenger position, when the chysler rear hatch lock assembly was poorly designed and had to be recalled. more later. __________________________________________________________________ Get your own FREE, personal Netscape Webmail account today at http://webmail.netscape.com/
