I searched through the archives, and came across a post by Joel Cort which said:

> Has anyone replaced just the glass piece on the 86-91 style rearview > mirrors? > Has anyone been able to purchase the replacement rear view mirror > from VWOA or anyone else? > It is part number 251-857-513B and is known as Flat mirror glass for > rear view mirror.

So has anyone? There never was a reply! Is this the glass? How much is it?

I see the BD lists 251 857 513 (no 'B') as a side view mirror for $24.95. I assume this is the non-power, non-heated version, whole side view mirror deal. However, BD also lists mirror glass elec mirror, flat, Vanagon $73.50 251 857 521

So - what do I need? My mirrors are getting the typical brown edges. If it's seventy-five bucks USD per side to replace the glass, fuggedaboutit.
