Start your search at www.smogcheck.ca.gov It's all in there somewhere, but CA emissions regulations are a labyrinth of confusion. I usually ask the technician at the local smog check station to show me the current book containing the emissions numbers for my cars. I have never been refused the information.

Does anyone know where can I find the specs for exact emissions standards I have to meet here in California with my 1983 watercooled bus? I used a number of search engines on the net, but could not find a breakdown of what year vehicle has to meet what standards. My NY state inspection lists the breakdown of my bus as HC at 110 and CO at .45 -- The max in NY state in my area was HC 300 CO 3.00. So I'm wondering if I can compaire this data with the standards in CA and decide if I will have a problem passing. Or will it be apples and oranges?

Jeff 83.5 Westy LA, CA

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks Jeff 83.5 Westy LA, CA
