"Wolfsburg Edition" means the van was made near the end of the model year. It was a marketing ploy to increase customer demand (a good one in my mind) that offered a stepped up interior over the GL.

In the case of the '84 you are looking at...it probably has the '85 brown interior (and not the '84 striped multicolor). Does it have a tachometer? Do the front seats have arm rests? Those are both '85 features that, I believe, were offered with the '84 Wolfsburg.
