Don't ..as it is the pump, at an idle does NOT flow the water through the front heater prolonged idling might casue it to over heat...

Could be that, if the cooling system is doing its job, including a clean and properly functioning radiator and a quality German waterpump, the heat/cavitation issue with the waterpump is moot though. >> Until it eats through the back of the pump and leaks your coolant all over the ground..Range Rovers are now doing the same thing..'cept THEIR coolant goes right in the sump !!!!
