Subaru is bringing the WRX to the states. I do not remember the exact specs on the motor for stateside but it will be a good one. They have made several versions of this car including the 22b which is basically the World Rally Car with a little more interior trim. They only sold 200 in Japan but I would love to get ahold of one of those. The 22b version is rated at 280hp (which is some kind of max hp for Japan), the article I read stated that it was probably closer to 400hp! The Subarus site has some cool info on the new WRX. Hopefully in a few years some of these engines will start popping up for our vanagon conversions. Craig the Gorge VW club (and closet rally fan) gorgevwclub.com
