A couple days after I bought my first vanagon, an 84, after it had been sitting for a few years, I was driving along with friend when it all of a sudden died. Went to the back and discovered that end cap of the fuel rail had blown off. Tried putting something in there (cant remember what) but that did not work. Wound up making my friend ride in the back with the engine cover off holding his thumb over the end for about 8 miles till we got home. Luckily it was the driver side so there was a bit more room. I did not know you could replace just the end caps, so I just replaced the whole rail, both of them. Just thought I would share that with you.
