It's the draw not the capacity of the supply..you have a eleventy-billion amp lead-acid battery attached to the same wires, remember? And the final question, when I have to replace my alternator should I just go for the higher amperage 90A alternator from a later model Vanagon-- or is it cost prohibative since I won't be able to turn in a 90A core? >> Err that's $$$ call....
