Sorry 'bout that, the prob with two part messages is I don't want to repeat
everything.... I bought the VDO extension adaptor (for 25 bucks!!!! Too
much). Comes with a 12" flex hose extension.  I thought this to be pretty
standard accompanied purchase with the VDO gauge.
