the switch itself can just die out with no warning... though some seem to have intermittent problems first....

what is it that I can check for this .

you can by pass the switch with a wire to see if the headlights will work without the switch in the circuit....

also, the ignition switch is a possible suspect also... costs about $10 and easy to pull the old one and plug in the new one just to see if that fixes the problem... if it does permanent installation is a bit harder...

you can buy the ignition switch from Ken Wilfey and read the instrustions for testing & installation at www.vanagain.com ... you can also buy the ignition switch from www.busdepot.com
