I modified the outside "City Water Connection" by removing the check ball. When I installed the water pump and pressure tank for the drinking water filter, I added a "Y" valve on the pressure tank. One side of the "Y" was routed through the filter to the "City" side of the sink tap. The other side of the "Y" was routed to the outside "City Water Connection". When I want a shower, I connect a hose to the outside "City Water Connection", switch the "Y" valve to point that direction and turn on the pump. The Pump is a demand pump meaning that it turns on when the pressure tank drops below some point (20 psi) and turns off when above a higher point (35 psi). So when I take a shower, I just use a garden hose nozzle with a on/off grip. The pump turns on/off accordingly. Hope this helps, -Larry P.S. the water can be C*O*L*D
