Hey all, I'm really thinking about converting my westy to a westyroo, even though my engine seems to be in splendid shape. See, heears the deal. I've been known to travel all summer long and put 7K miles or so on a vehicle in a summer. I'm so spoiled by that awesome rock solid toyota truck dependability, that I'm rather paranoid about depending upon these engines in that sort of a situation. I'm even thinking about a trip down into the dark southern portion of this continent this summer and well, I just would just feel better with a subaru engine. SOooooo, was wonderin bout this here engine I've got. The van has 135K on it, the engine is supposed to have been replaced about 40K ago. I have not done a comp check on this thing yet, but it runs flawlessly and never even puffs a bit of smoke, and dry heads. IF the compression is up like new when I check it, what would be a fair asking price for this engine? Is there any demand for an engine like this? I'm in the Seattle area if anyone is semi interested. Thanks and thanks again. mark... |
