There is a nice 91 GL for sale in the Rochester NY area.

Check out www.cdicars.com and look at the list of vehicles for sale. Near the bottom is item 1858: 1991 VW Vanagon GL White 97,650 $6,995.

Let me know if you want me to check it out, but these guys at CDI are pretty good Vanagon mechanics, used by several list members.
