Well, the plan has SyncroBeast pulling the utility trailer with the 850 on it, and Dad following with his F150 4x4 pulling the dead '89 GTI. The relocation movers will transport the '87 GTI and the SO's '86 Scirocco.
We're travelling to Chicago via 94/90, then straight east on 80/90 turning into 70/76 then 76 into Philadelphia and on to Moorestown New Jersey. Not sure where we will be staying in NJ yet, but should soon. We'll be in a couple of NICE hotels along the way, and figure on travelling 3 days, with the 4th set aside for emergency.
I'm looking for emergency contacts in case major problems occur. Phone, address, location, what ever you feel comfortable with. Dad and I can just about handle most problems, but may need local contacts for parts and such. (or a shelter under which to drop an engine ;) I dropped a tranny up at my father-in-laws once, long ago, using just a small sheet metal scissors jack and brute force)
Any one feel like volunteering? If you recognize that you're on the route, let me know. p-mail me privately and let me know.
