If your coolant isn't low it could be the gauge itself failing to terminate its self-test of the blinker. Having it stop when you recycle the power is a clue that this is what's happening. I have a temp gauge with those symptoms sitting here waiting for me to take it apart and see what component is causing this sort of behavior -- I have my suspicions already. But disassembly is no joke, starting with drilling out the rivets that hold the face on and then progressing to some careful unsoldering. david
