Subject: Advice on buying a '58 Single Cab
Content-Type: multipart/alternative;

I guess the subject line says it all. I am considering buying a '58 VW singlecab. I think this is the first year they imported these. The guy selling is the original owner and it needs work but runs and drives. I would like to buy this beast and restore it for use as a truck but mostly to take to shows. Any advice from aircooled folks? This will actually be the second aircooled VW I have ever owned and the first is still sitting in the yard waiting for me to finish rebuilding the engine (I have never driven anything aircooled before 1980). So should I, shouldn't I? What do you think this truck would be worth restored? Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
