Typical for German innovation...the 24v VR6 uses a single head with TWO camshafts. One camshaft operates the intake side valves and the other operates the exhaust valves. So it's really a DOHC design.

This I don't know.

I'm still trying to understand the motivation for putting the 24v VR6 in the EV...
