Hello,

When I started driving the Vanagon back last evening I noticed that:

The Speedometer isn't working The Odometer isn't either Niether is the Trip Odometer Or the Coolant Temperature gage Nor the Gas Tank level gage The gage lights & sensor lights do work. The fuses on the panel have been checked & replaced.

Does anyone know of anything these all have in common? A ground wire on the instrument display?

Is the VDO sending unit from the tranny electrical? (This could explain the commonality of the speed & odometers not working.) Where is the coolant sensor located? I can find it but thought I'd ask those who would know right away.

Thanks in advance.

Later,

Michael
