 The basic TRANSMISSION is the same and can be interchanged..this is NOT the
final drive, however..that has a forward pinion bearing and seals that need
replacing.
It's not like you can rob the whole unit from a $50 rabbit and go...YOu need
someone who KNOWS vw transmissions and see what they can do..
