hey all,
yesterday for no apparent reason i popped off my distributor cap.  my rotor
has a burned mark on the top about the size of a cigar burn.  now it was an
after market cap and rotor, but has been in there for almost two years and i
checked the rotor one month ago when i installed the new engine and it was
fine.  what caused this to burn out in a 1000 miles? i installed a new bosch
cap and rotor and wires this time.  what should i look for to keep this one
from burning up?  is it because it was after market cap and rotor?  did the
new engine have anything to do with it?
