Let me give it a try. The vacuum in the box would cause the gauge to read absolute pressure instead of psig (psi gauge). I think a fuel pressure gauge is probably over-kill. If you run a mechanical set-up, you are risking a gas leak anywhere from the engine to the dash, and most electrical would not be accurate enough to see the difference between 29 and 34 psig IMHO. I'd take the guage money and replace the regulator. Jay '85 Westy (w/new regulator)
