Subject: 15" steel wheels
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Hi List, I too am looking for 15" steel wheels. I am running 15x7 Benz rims that are impossible to find in the US. I just got lucky & found a set of 4 one day at the Benz junkyard.

I have been going without a spare for over a year now & really want to track down another wheel. It's time to rotate one tire out,(yes, I did get 5 tires). I would be happy with any 15" that fits without modification or spacers.

I did find an Audi turbo alloy, but have been told it would need a spacer, but wouldn't need milling if used on the front,(it's a Syncro). Can anyone verify this or tell me otherwise?

If anyone lives near a Mercedes, or very German junkyard, Email me for a description of my wheels. Maybe you can find a set for yourself or another list member & even find an extra for me to buy as my spare.

They are the perfect solution for the 15" upgrade. They look like stock Vanagon steel rims & need no modification. Look great painted black or silver.

Thanks, David K Seattle, 1990 Syncro
