Filling my 89 Syncro Westy is a real PITA... at least if I want to fill it
all the way to the top.  No spitting, but there is some kind of constriction
that doesn't allow the gas to enter the tank correctly... hence, after the
pump clicks off, I can add another 3-4 gallons, but only if I go VEERRRRY
SLOWLY... like ten to twenty cents at a squeeze before she clicks off again.
The gas then slowly drains into the tank and I can do it again.  Wouldn't
bother to do it most of the time, but if I want a full tank, that's what I
have to do.
