Bob, From reading the posts on this list for a couple of years it seems that the very best rebuilt engines come from Boston Bob.... http://www.bostonengine.com/ Of course, the first thing to do is to get a reliable mechanic confirm that a rebuilt engine is needed. There is a list of recommended mechanics at www.vanagon.com and a like there to a 2nd list. Never take a Vanagon to a mechanic that doesn't specialize in them. Bill
