when a message is received from an unwanted sender, while the message in question is highlighted (but not opened), go to the dropdown entitled "Message." Select "Block Sender." Click delete all messages by this name. this will assure you of never having to receive an e-mail from that particular source again. I did that with hahaha@sexyfun.net and have not heard from them again. I continue to do it with whomever I don't want to hear from again. It's not a total solution, but it's a good stopgap measure. You will, however still have to delete them again from your delete folder, but only once.
