I installed my basic Air-Lift kit over the weekend. It lifts an empty Westy about 1/4" with 25 psig in each bladder. I looped the lines behind the springs so the valve stem faces straight out in the frame above the tire. (There were holes there already.) Couldn't honestly notice much difference with empty van, but I'm sure it will help once loaded down. (I could see a little more out the back window!) No leaks overnight. Stems may see some mud at this location, but with caps should be OK. Seemed like a real good place to put the valve stem until I see how they work. I may eventually tee them together and run the tubing to the back seat compartment. Jay '85 Westy |
