You are telling me that a NA pushrod engine is,with just a few "goodies' going to make almost 1.3 hp/cu in? Ok..sure ..for a VERY short time.. You seem to be "carrying a torch" for the WBX (2.1)... It's a GOOD engine, not a *perfect* engine... ALL engines have weak points..the "fabled" 5.0 ford (302 Windsor) has pressed in rocker studs..you rev it too high? the studs pull out!..simple repair to put threaded ones in..but it's a "fix". The 2.1 rods are a weak point..no real "fix" reported yet Don't get your knickers in a knot over it..just take care of the engine and respect its limits
