Gang, What type of signal does the idle control relay send to the idle stabilizer valve? Is it a current signal? Is it a voltage signal? Has anyone ever put a clamp-on amprobe on this cable and read the current? Reason why I ask: I suspect my idle control relay to be bad. The Bentley manual gives instructions for trouble-shooting every input to and output from the relay. If they all check OK, Bentley says to replace the relay. Sounds like Bentley has a stake in selling idle control relays. If you have a digifant Vanagon and understand my rant and have an amprobe, will you take a few readings and post? Thanks in advance.
