Mark, People are too quick to find fault, sometimes. Seems like they're picking on you, but it's not usually personal. It's just that this list, while not concerned about cancer, redwoods, or food, is concerned about Vanagons. It's also about trying to stick more or less to that subject, and to make our participation here educational, enjoyable, and even socially fulfilling. Just as on the highway, certain "rules of the road" apply, so that things don't descend into chaos. Yes, we all flaunt the rules from time to time, with no perceived damage. But there are around 900 of us on any given day, and so it's easy to offend many with just a small infraction. Many of us (myself included) tend to forget that sometimes, but usually the list will let one know if he's pushing too far. After putting up with lawyer posts, off subject posts, unedited replies to long posts, vendor bashing, cussing, etc., you may have been the guy that "broke the camel's back" and attracted someone's ire. Kinda like the guy in traffic who's been tailgated, cut off, nearly sideswiped, slowed by left lane bandits, and finally goes ballistic on the next jerk driver that comes by.

Yes, there's a lot of self inflated bull here. That's why sometimes a listee will "go ballistic" and try to get back to basics and keep the experience enjoyable. So, relax, learn more about our favorite subject, try not to cut anybody off, and we'll all have a good drive.

Larry
