Well, diagnosis is not really my forte, but... you mentioned that it had sat for 3 annum and had corroded f pump. Then you started it and it ran and went down hill? Sounds like there might have been some corrosion that has found it's way into the fuel system and is screwing up the works, so to speak..? Did you check the injector spray pattern? Replace the fuel filter?
