Ahhh, you are correct on this one. This WAS the way it could be done, but now you need the letter from the manufacturer or go thru an RI, the rules have changed a lot in the last few years. If it worked for you I say you are very lucky and I want to know the name of the customs officer you processed your stuff! :)
