Subject:      aftermarket turbo/supercharger to deisel?

Was wondering if anyone had looked into adding an aftermarket turbo or
supercharger to a stock vanagon diesel? IF this could be done for even a couple
grand this might be a good solution for those doggy but solid diesels. Maybe I
assume too much, are the stock diesels good enough to consider spending this
sort of money on? Will they hold up under the increased power?
