There are several issues that could be a problem. The valves and seats may not withstand the higher combustion temps, the pistons really should be cooled by oil sprayers below them, and then there should be a microfueler added to keep the A/F mixture within reason. A better idea might be a newer 1.8T engine swap, or the 1.8 G60 engine, but ditch the unreliable blower and add the turbo system. I believe the engine management of this engine will compensate well.
