Have you tried disconnecting the 02 sensor lead when the van starts acting
up, to see if it runs ok in 'open loop'?


My thinking is the van is in open loop for a short time everytime the van is
started and it runs well then. I don't know if the ECU goes into closed loop
when the 02 sensor sends a voltage signal or if is just a set amount of
time.


If it runs well in open loop, this might narrow it down some.
