That was one of my favorite scenes... actually I thought it was a pickup truck tho... when the truck is driving through the lava, tires on fire (but not exploding) and they pass a small berm and who jumps in the truck but the missing dog! What a kodak moment!

I've made my living for years selling videotapes images of Kilauea Volcano and I was watching that movie with a bunch of US Geological Survey scientists... man you should have heard them howl with laughter.

Never drove over hot lava, but did but burn the tires on one of my vanagons driving through a recently burned area of forest fire. They were smokin' when we got back on the pavement! Not too bright, eh?
